Bay Harbor MRI, Inc. was established on February 19, 1991, providing friendly outpatient services in pleasant surroundings. Arrangements can be made to accommodate emergency cases. Whenever possible same day scheduling and 24 hour results is available.
Housed in it’s convenient and easily accessible facility is the Hitachi Airis Elite. The Airis Elite MRI system features an unique, new open-air gantry design, which, provides complete patient access, allowing for optimum patient comfort. With its 0.3 Tesla field strength and 5.0 software version, our MR system combines the advanced permanent magnet design with specially designed coils to provide maximum image quality. Our center currently utilizes Soft Touch RF coils for comfortable imaging of the head, spine, extremity and other body parts, with advanced application capability for MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography). In addition, our MRI scanner can accommodate for any weight or height. The only limitation is a sixty-four inch abdominal girth limit.
Patients will find that the patient-oriented staff (English, Spanish, and Farsi speaking) and the Airis Elite MRI system will provide a comfortable environment during their magnetic resonance imaging examinations. The innovative open-air gantry design provides the opportunity to constantly and directly attend to pediatric patients as well as accommodate the most demanding cases such as anxious, claustrophobic and large patients. Overall, our scanner provides superior operator access and ultimate reassurance for the patient.
